Aerification and Construction
Aerifying in the spring allows oxygen, the most important nutrient in all of turf management, to get deep into the root zone. This is the best time to provide sustainable minerals to the plant allowing them to feed all year long. By adding carbon, you can stimulate microbiology. The growing season is the time the plant takes out as many nutrients from the soil as it can. By adding carbon and oxygen, this guarantees that we have a good source for microbiology to continue to proliferate all year long.
Aerification and Recovery…
When aerification holes are open don’t miss the opportunity to build the soil and provide quick recovery without high rates of nitrogen.
Renovate Plus will provide multiple forms of minerals and carbon to increase water and nutrient holding capacity, speed up recovery, and keep the soil working more efficiently.
Myco-Replenish will grow strong roots and improve nutrient availability. With endo and ecto mycorrhizal fungi this product is ideal for all turf types and landscape plants.
Ecolite is the cleanest zeolite mineral available. It helps to create pore space and to hold water and nutrients like potassium and ammonium nitrogen.

Construction…
Since 1988, EarthWorks has been a leader in building golf course and sports turf construction amendment programs.
PROGRAM SUGGESTIONS
Many turf managers have had success with the EarthWorks amendment programs. The following suggestions are an average. If your project timeline is short, adding more investment to your grow in amendments will ensure that your project is as successful as possible. The simple answer is to use as much as you can afford. You can save five years of work in the first month.
Ideal Program for golf and sports turf construction:
Renovate Plus 350 lbs. per 1000 sq. ft. @ 6 inch depth
Ecolite 150 lbs. per 1000 sq. ft. @ 6 inch depth
Myco Replenish 25 lbs. per 1000 sq. ft. @ 1 inch depth
Ideal Program for “No Till” operations:
Renovate Plus 150 lbs. per 1000 sq. ft. @ 3 inch dept with planting
Ecolite 50 lbs. per 1000 sq. ft. @ 3 inch depth with planting
Myco Replenish 15 lbs. per 1000 sq. ft. @ 2 inch depth with planting
Carbon Balanced Grow In Program:
Use Replenish 5-4-5 and/or Replenish 10-2-5 for 50% of the nitrogen used during the first ten weeks. The goal is to cut back the total nitrogen applications to as low as only a few pounds. This will balance the carbon to nitrogen ratio and help to reduce thatch build that is common in grow in programs.
