Concentrations of Flow

There is always something new to learn in the turf industry.  Listening to the EarthWorks Podcast with Dennis Hurley and Zach Boudreaux from Turf Drainage of America will give everyone the opportunity to learn new things about how water moves through a soil. Dennis details the concept of concentrations of flow in a fairway environment and helps us all understand the importance of knowing the subtleties of how a water shed works.
 
It is very important especially when building a new golf course or athletic field to understand where the water shed is moving water and most importantly how to redirect away from critical playing surfaces.  This is a complete and complicated science but one that is a must to understand when moving water away from important areas.  With too much water there is no oxygen and with no oxygen we do not have microbes and turf cannot survive!
