Fertilizer for Lawn & Landscape Care
A vigorous and healthy lawn is the foundation of a beautiful landscape. In addition to the home lawn being the multi-purpose outdoor arena for everything family; it provides enormous benefit to the homeowner’s property and the environment. A thick lawn is 30-40 degrees cooler than asphalt and 10-20 degrees cooler than a thin, dying lawn. It absorbs runoff and prevents erosion, saving our rivers, lakes, and oceans from damaging pollutants. Lastly, a lush lawn reduces harmful CO2 in the atmosphere and generates oxygen. These benefits are well documented by research universities across the country.
When EarthWorks was founded in 1988 the plan was to be a lawn care service company. We were not necessarily trying to be an "organic" lawn care company but believed very strongly in the benefits of feeding the soil with our carbon based fertilizers. We could not only build lawns that survived the heat stress of our hot northeast summers but also reduce our costs by using less product returning a bigger profit to our new company. This approach worked so well that we decided to manufacture our carbon based products and help other lawn care companies discover the same benefits. We had found that by feeding the soil with carbon based fertilizers that the traditional four pound per 1000 sq. ft. of nitrogen programs can be reduced significantly building better lawns with less problems, fewer call backs, and most importantly they could grow profit margins. Traditional salt fertilizer programs burn out the soil carbon leaving them in need of moisture to survive hot dry summers.
We have been helping lawn care companies all across the country build a better business, one that is and will stay sustainable. These companies are out competing their competition, building better lawns with greater customer satisfaction and retention rates. But more importantly our lawn care customers’ profit margins are actually going up!
